Sr. Josaphata, Ukrainian Foster Mother

As bombs were falling on Ukraine and people were fleeing the country, Sister Josaphata did not run. Instead, she opened her home and offered her neighbors shelter and safety inside her basement, welcoming up to 30 adults and children.

Sister Josaphata runs a foster home in Chortkiv, Ukraine, with the support of the Eparchy of Buchach, an implementing partner of ICMC-supported projects in Ukraine. She has taken 10 children into her home, and urges for other to welcome those in need.
