Additional info
The last Sunday of September of every year is World Day of Migrants and Refugees. For 2020, Pope Francis has chosen the theme “Forced like Jesus Christ to flee”, with a focus on the need for the pastoral care of internally displaced persons.
The World Day of Migrants and Refugees (WDMR) is always an occasion to express concern for many different vulnerable people on the move; to pray for the challenges and increase awareness about the opportunities that migration offers.
For more information visit the Migrants and Refugees Section’s website.
Ahead of the WDMR 2020, don’t miss ICMC’s webinar on how forced displacement affects families, on 25 September.
